Index to Northern Neck Land grants, surveys, plats, and certificates from the Virginia Land Office, 1690-1874.

These records contain a card file listing those persons who received grants to land in the Northern Neck between 1690 and 1874. Each card includes the name of the grantee, the date of the grant, the county in which the land was located when granted, the number of acres in the tract, and a brief description of the property. The book and inclusive page numbers of recording are noted. On the reverse is given the location of any extant survey returned on the tract.

Recorded copies of grants issued for land in the Northern Neck from 1692 to 1862 when the territory encompassing the present state of West Virginia withdrew from the commonwealth to enter the Union are indexed.
